[Landing]
by Mary Schuberg
Landing
feathered arms
without sound
draw alongside the frame
retreating inward
resting between two expanses
boundless sky, unfathomed dark below;
and for once
I am not afraid
of how much I do not know
we land in this body of salted blue
granting something bigger
than ourselves
to move us
a calm offering
Bio
Mary Schuberg graduated from Westmont College with a BA in English literature…and many more questions about life than answers. The world of creative writing nursed her natural curiosity for the inner lives of humanity leading her to take a leap into the abyss of graduate school for Psychology.
